She has a rich and characterful voice with an uncanny ability to remind the listener of singers famously associated with the songs she is singing and being a trained actress ads an exquisite depth of drama and sincerity. Johanna has lots of experience providing entertainment for weddings so you can relax and enjoy the big day. Mostly playing with her trio but she also has some very talented musicians she can call on for drums and sax for larger weddings and dancing the night away. Johanna has a wide range of material going from upbeat to tearstained ballads to swing. She can also take requests for songs if you would like something in particular for the first dance.

Trio - with guitar and double bass, intimate feel.
Quartet - with drums for a bigger sound and can get quite funky.
Quintet - with sax to really get the party going.

Our performance is accompanied by a complimentary disco where we can accommodate any special request you may have. Our equipment is of the highest standard and comes with a light show. We can also supply an acoustic guitarist / vocalist for during your ceremony or meal.

Any children present can be entertained by Timbo the Magic Man. His show although tailored for the children seems to be as popular with adults due to the laughter it generates. Balloon modelling, face painting and even karaoke can be catered for.

Wurlitza are a five piece band from South East Cornwall who offer a great range of music to suit all kinds of functions, from weddings to birthday parties and anniversaries, as well as offering live soundtracks to silent films. Our set up includes classical and steel guitars, bass guitar, djembe and cahon drums, mixed percussion, keyboards, clarinet and four vocalists. Our wide ranging repertoire includes original, pop, contemporary, jazz and klezmer music, giving us the flexibility to perform as the occassion requires. We use a sound engineer to ensure that our sound is always well balanced and also offer lighter classical music; Spanish guitar duets and trios, jazz sets and solo piano, as well as having a solo singer songwriter in our midst.

We pride ourselves on our onstage look, in striking black and white, and are the perfect band to provide music that will appeal to all ages.
