The car is a 1954 Citroën 11B "Traction Avant," similar to the model that became a household name in Britain as the police car of Inspector Maigret in the TV series of the 1960s. Having spent the first 36 years of its life in France, the car arrived in the UK in 1990. Following a three year restoration to "concours" standard, it was returned to the road in April 2008
