Tutbury Castle

Burton-on-Trent
Staffordshire
DE13 9JF

Tutbury Castle is an 11th century royal castle sitting in the heart of England in rural Staffordshire.

Perched high on a hill overlooking the green Dove valley below, the views and sunsets have graced many magazine covers. It has one of the most glittering histories of any castle in the British Isles and has welcomed some of the great names such as King Henry VIII, and was prison four times to the tragic Mary Queen of Scots. A place for Kings and Queens and now for brides and grooms.

During the English Civil War the castle was attacked, but still leaves the romantic medieval ruins, including the Great Hall which is licensed for civil weddings.

Over the last ten years, the castle has proved to be in the top three venue choice for the whole of Staffordshire and voted recently by the national 'Independent newspaper' as one of the top 50 wedding venues in the country.
